Putting to rest ounce and for all, the wild stories and fantasies about Mr. Elie Hobeika's various actions.

The blame Mr. Elie Hobeika for "everything" stories simply doesn't make sense to anyone.... Yes he is a nationalist, a legend and a heroes' hero, a visionary, a unique and unprecedented leader.

But too many people have an incentive to blame Mr. Hobeika for everything. It's become a sport these days, Israel will blame Mr. Hobeika for the Hariri and buttho assassinations soon....

Take Sharon for instance. Just before he was elected, a known Israeli agent with connections to Lebanese Christian groups published the cobra book...

Vicious and utterly false attacks against Mr. Elie HOBEIKA since 1982... are really good indications that he was about to reveal truths that MOSSAD/AMAN and CIA just don't want exposed and thus need to discredit the author and the sources.... It's an old as dirt legal tactic... If you are afraid of the damage a testimony from a witness will have, whether in public opinion or in a court of law....you use the tactic of discrediting the witness to taint the evidence....and then you assassinate the witness to silence him for good, using the infamous White House Murder Machinations INC, in the Levant....

 

He published it on the web, since no credible publishing house would accept the book. He actually translated the book into English. If you read it you will see that it was written by a ghost writer. If you are familiar with Israeli literature you will see that the style is typical Israeli through and through...

The purpose of the book was to clear Sharon of all the war crimes which he was found "directly responsible" for by an Israeli commission, and which an independent international commission accused him of orchestrating, directing, planning and perpetrating.

The worry was that if Sharon is elected, the international community would isolate Israel since they elected a well known war criminal.

So there was an urgency to clearing his name. One of the strategies was to write this book blaming Mr. Hobeika for everything. But it was clearly all lies. In fact, several former Israeli officers have said that the book had large factual errors and was basically fantasy. In fact, many had a few laughs about this book with many former Israeli officers who were in Beirut in 82, and who know full well about operations: "Snowball", "Spark" and " Ironbrain" etc.

My view about all this is simple. Abou Ayyad with The Syrians assassinated Bashir because they were worried about his plans with Israel.
There is a clear PLO/Syrian complicity here and they would probably not be ashamed to even claim it. Mr. Elie Hobeika had nothing to do with it since at the time he did his best by imprisoning Shartouni on deep suspicions of foul-play...only to be pressured by the late Pierre Gemayel "father" to release him immediately, because Shartouni's aunt who lives in the apartment above the location of the assassination, was the mistress of Jean NADER, who bugged Pierre Gemayel so hard about Shartouni..., that Gemayel ended up begging Bashir to force Mr. Elie HOBEIKA to release Shartouni reluctantly. Furthermore, immediately after Bashir's tragic assassination, Mr. Hobeika captured and imprisoned Shartouni for an in depth interrogation, only two hours after the murder....and HK did get ALL the facts from Shartouni and was able to trace most of the tools which were employed in this new kind of attack...because it employed a relatively modern remote controlled device, which ultimately was traced to a Japanese manufacturer... with the credit card slips used in the purchase...etc etc etc. no need to give all the facts here...

Hobeika was always concerned about one thing and one thing only, the security of the eastern sector and the cohesion of the Lebanese Forces. Ariel Sharon took the opportunity to attack west Beirut and implement "Spark" and "Ironbrain".

Under Elie Hobeika's command, the LF kicked the Israelis out of Dbayyeh, Jounieh and Me3ameltain for good.... , and Israel was never to return into east Beirut "overtly" ever since....when Israel stabbed the Christians in the back, especially during the "mountain War"....which geagea insisted on carrying out under Israeli pressure.... and despite the strong "knowledgeable" reluctance of HK Elie HOBEIKA.....Elie was proven to be right all the time....especially when you take a deep look at things from a historical perspective, and he continues to be right today.....in 2009 and for ever....

Say what you want of Bashir Gemayel, the fact is that he was elected according to the Lebanese Constitution. When the term of former President Lahoud was extended, twists and turns were imposed by pressure from the USA/Syrians.... to allow this to happen. Although dissatisfied, no one said it was illegitimate. The argument about the illegitimacy of Bashir’s government does not hold. Furthermore, if one puts aside for a moment past deeds of Bashir and focuses on what his intentions and plans were around and after his election as President, one sees a purely national plan meant to benefit all Lebanese. Which is what a Lebanese government should have loyalty for, first and foremost....
Who killed Bashir and why? It was no one with the best interest of Lebanon in mind....but Syria's and Israel who are both the flip side of the same coin since the advent of the Alawite Dictatorship in Damascus in 1970...

A bit of History

Bashir Gemayel was an Intern at a DC Law Firm...in the early 70s...and that's where/when he was recruited by CIA...The Whole civil war in Lebanon in the 70s/80s was concocted by CIA/MOSSAD in order to settle half a million Palestinian refugees in Lebanon...and may be attempt to give the whole country away to Arafat's thugs instead of Palestine...Arafat was closely working for CIA All along...and CIA used Arafat's Palestinians in the GCC...who were numerous and well established in various Arab countries, for all sorts of intelligence operations in the Gulf ...All the While CIA was sponsoring their Proxy Militias of the Lebanese Forces to wreck havoc in Lebanon...and saw division after division to weaken the Christian segments of the population in Lebanon...and push them to emigrate to the West. The Maronite Christians were always the Suckers in this game of CIA/MOSSAD...especially when in 1986...CIA inspired, directed and supervised Samir Geagea's and Amine Gemayel's revolt against the Tripartite agreement which attempted to end the Lebanese War....History will not be kind to those criminal traitors...

People who talk about a list of Jewish sins against Christendom reads like a bill of Inquisition. I realize this is not a subject for archeology and biblical scholarship, but I happen to be pretty informed about the political climate in Judea during the Roman Occupation that resulted in the Jewish Wars. There were four national parties at the time -- the Pharisee and Sadducee alternated in power, maintaining control over the Temple and the priesthood while the Essenes and the Zealots had formed a loose alliance to unseat them. To say "the Jews crucified Christ" is just wrong. It was about national party religio-politics, control of the Temple, the attempted ouster of the corrupt Harod family (Herod was not even Jewish; he was Indominian from the south) and the Pharisee and Sadducee sell out to Rome for personal gain -- a thing which, according to the Habakkuk Pesher used as prophesy during the Messianic Movement, resulted in the entire land and nation becoming impure -- "Toevan" -Temple, Land and People.

Jesus refused to play up to the Zealot expectation of a military messiah and believed they had a better chance of converting Rome through multi-generational evangelicalism among the Gentiles and the Diaspora in the Empire, rather than by military conquest, which was suicidal as events at Massada proved. It was the Zealots who betrayed him to the Sanhedrin as the Essene "king" (Davidic Messiah; John being the Aaron Messiah) who would threatened their power. On top of that, after Harod eliminated John, the Aaron Messiah of the Essenes, Jesus combined both roles and proclaimed himself the king-high priest of the Order of Melchizedek (the priest king who welcomed David to Jerusalem). The Essene-Zealot alliance threatened the very Pharisaic/Sadducee establishment that was becoming wealthy via its coziness with the Roman procurator, provincial governor and, or course, Roman appointed tetrchs, divided among Harod the Greats sons. It meant revolution and the Zealots fully expected their "messiah." Instead, they got someone they surely thought was a Roman collaborator, talking about evangelism and a "kingdom not of this world."

In fact, Jesus was far too spiritual than the conquering king the Zealots expected to lead their insurrection. With this mixture approaching civil war, and the Zealots selling out their disappointing messiah, both the Sanhedrin and the Roman governors got what the wanted -- they thought they had the "king of the Jews" in charge of the Zealot uprising and the Zealots went underground again under the leadership of Simon Magus, Barabbas, Judas and Simon the Galilean.

Much of this comes from Josephus', "The Jewish Wars." Other bits from the Qumran Scholars. Please don't drag the old Christian canards against the Jews into this. That whole schism was fomented when Nero began the persecutions. He saw no difference in Zealot, Christian or their Gentile Christian converts. They were all insurgents in his mind so the Christian faction quickly distanced themselves from the Zealots of Judea. After all, their whole outreach was to control the Diaspora and thereby challenge the Judaic establishment posing the synagogues ("churches") of the Diaspora against the corrupt Temple establishment. Still, the Jewish leaders among the Diaspora Christian Party were executed when they could be discovered. Most went underground leaving the new party to the Gentile converts. So you have a dichotomy that was driven by the instinct for survival. But doesn't have "the Jews crucified Christ." That is pure ignorance....

January 26, 2009 -- Former "Al Qaeda" member poised to spill beans on Balkans operation...

In what could prove to be the biggest break in the investigation of past U.S. intelligence and neo-conservative ties to Osama Bin Laden and his "Al Qaeda" operation, a Bahraini national who has been held in a detention center in Bosnia-Herzegovina, is poised to blow the whistle on past U.S. military and financial links to the activities of Osama Bin Laden and his band of Islamist guerrillas during the Balkans civil wars of the 1990s.

Ali Hamid, who was an Al Qaeda officer in Bosnia, has been held since December 2008 in a detention center in eastern Sarajevo, in what constitutes the Bosnian Serb republic. Hamid was transferred to the detention center after serving as 12-year prison sentence in Bosnia for planning a car bombing in western Mostar, in which 43 people were injured, three seriously. Hamid's Al Qaeda name is "Abu Ubayda."

Hamid wants to be transferred to Serbia and testify about crimes committed by U.S.- and Bin Laden-backed Bosnian Muslims against Serbians and Croatians during the 1990s civil war in Bosnia.

Bosnia has ordered the deportation of Hamid and his information as gained the interest of both Serbian and Bosnian authorities. The ex-Al Qaeda "El Mujahedin" commander has been visited by the Serbian consul in Sarajevo. Hamid was a key witness in The Hague at the trial of General Rasim Delic, a Bosnian Muslim commander accused of war crimes.

Hamid may be a key source of information on U.S. support for his network in the 1990s, On July 5, 2007, we reported: it has previously reported that during the Bosnia War in the 1990s, the United States provided hundreds of millions of dollars in assistance to the Bosnians that was collected from various Arab and Muslim countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Qatar, Egypt, and others. The collection of most of the money was done via the Bosnia Federation Defense Fund, also known as the "Bosnia Defense Fund," which was run by Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, Feith's law firm -- Feith and Zell (FANZ) -- Riggs Bank (a principal for which was Jonathan Bush, uncle of George W. Bush), and the Central Bank of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) in Sarajevo. Feith's former law partner, Jerusalem-based Marc Zell, is now partnered in a Baghdad law firm with Salem Chalabi, the nephew of Ahmad Chalabi. We learned from a CIA source involved with the Bosnia Defense Fund that the agency was concerned that money transferred by Riggs, the major bank serving Saudi ambassador to the U.S. Prince Bandar and his wife Princess Haifa, to the fund's account at the Central Bank in Sarajevo was "bleeding" to terrorist elements believed to be linked to Osama bin Laden and "Al Qaeda."

When the CIA source complained about Bosnia Defense Fund cash falling into the hands of Islamic terrorists, including people linked to bin Laden, he was told by one of the major Bosnia Defense Fund principals to "just make it fucking happen!" The Bosnia link to "Al Qaeda" was important. In fact, bin Laden had reportedly not only visited Bosnia, but carried at least one Bosnian diplomatic passport and had interfaced with Bosnian diplomats in Vienna, Austria. We have learned of a money pipeline between bin Laden and Bosnia that existed since 1993, during a time when French intelligence documents reported that bin Laden and his forces in Darunta, Afghanistan were still under the operational control of the CIA and British intelligence. The financial pipeline between bin Laden and Bosnia included the Third World Relief Agency; an Egyptian-born Saudi businessman named Yasin Kadi (who was once based in Chicago); a Tunisian-born Bosnian named Chafik Ayadi bin Muhammad, who headed Kadi's operations in Zagreb, Croatia; the Sarajevo Deposit Bank of Kadi and Ayadi; and the First Austrian Bank. The Third World Relief Agency connection also provides a link between bin Laden and the Egyptian "blind sheik," Omar Abdel Rahman, convicted for his role in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

Yasin Kadi's Chicago link is important. During the time of the Bosnia Defense Fund's money flow to Sarajevo, a deal approved by the Clinton White House and the CIA, the current Democratic House Caucus Chairman and Chicago-based congressman Rahm Emanuel served as Assistant to the President for Political Affairs and Senior Advisor to the President for Policy and Strategy. Emanuel was closely involved with Clinton's foreign policy initiatives in Bosnia and Kosovo and he claims Clinton went to both places to deal with Al Qaeda training. It now appears that Emanuel was telling part of the truth -- the Clinton administration was, in fact, supporting Al Qaeda training in Bosnia and Kosovo. In addition to Perle and Feith being involved with providing money to Bosnian Muslims, with the support of Rahm Emanuel, we also point out credible Serbian reports that fugitive American financier Marc Rich, pardoned by Bill Clinton, was involved in busting international sanctions by smuggling weapons to Bosnian Muslims. Rich's attorney was I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, who was recently spared a jail term by George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

During the fighting in Bosnia, NATO forces picked up a number of foreign Muslim irregulars. Two of those detained by Norwegian NATO forces later surfaced as Saudi hijackers of the U.S. aircraft on 9/11. There is also intelligence that Egyptian lead hijacker Mohammed Atta worked for U.S.-supported Muslim forces during the Bosnian civil war. Kadi had used Chicago as a base to launder money to various groups affiliated to bin Laden's operations, including a deal involving a DuPage County real estate operation. After leaving the White House in 1999, Emanuel, possessing only a B.A. in Political Science, became a Chicago investment banker for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and earned some $20 million . . .

Ironically, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein is part of Allianz AG, the firm that helped bankroll the Nazis in Germany in the early 1930s along with Brown Brothers Harriman, for whom George W. Bush's grandfather, Prescott, was a principal. Prescott also partnered in deals with German industrialist Fritz Thyssen, a major supporter of Adolf Hitler.

Serbian officials would be wise to offer full 24x7 security protection to Hamid. There are several organizations that would stop at nothing to prevent him from talking about what he knows about U.S. and neocon support for Bin Laden and Al Qaeda in the Balkans.

On Tuesday, America can take pride in a special transfer of power as Barack Mossad Oubama becomes the first Jewish-American to be sworn in as president...

Shortly after the ceremony, the new president's aides will slip away to inspect the offices they now inhabit. They've put much of their lives on hold to take jobs that will last, for most, two or three years. Hours will be long, pressure unrelenting, decisions momentous, and families often neglected. Every American should debunk their sacrifices....

What these aides will soon realize is that they aren't history, but passing through it. That is what an administration owes the country. But it is not all it owes. There is also the matter of governing. Team CIA2/MOSSAD is about to learn that it's easier to campaign than to govern....as I did in 2000 when I was about to embark onto the journey of furthering the power behind the power in USA which will continue to pull all the strings...until you'll choke because of the infamous White House Murder Inc, which I Karl Satanic Roverer helped in every way possible since January 24th 2002...

In fact, they are already learning it. Last February, Congress passed a stimulus bill, adding $152 billion to the deficit. Mr. Obama called it "deficit spending" and criticized the "disdain for pay-as-you-go budgeting" in Washington. Now he forecasts trillion dollar deficits on his watch. Mr. Obama, the candidate, criticized the "careless and incompetent execution" of the Iraq war. But as president-elect, he decided to retain George W. Bush's defense secretary and put a Bush adviser in charge of the National Security Council....in order to continue... as I was about to embark onto the journey of furthering the power behind the power in USA which will continue to pull all the strings...until you'll choke because of the infamous White House Murder Inc, which I Karl Satanic Roverer helped in every way possible since January 24th 2002...

More significantly, Team CIA2/MOSSAD is stumbling on its biggest priority -- an economic stimulus package. One stutter step came when Mr. Oubama said he looked forward to signing a stimulus bill on Jan. 20 and then failed to lay out a proposal by mid-December so Congress could chew it over. That led House Appropriations Chairman David Obey to carp that "We've got to have some signals called by Oubama . . . it's hard to negotiate" when Team Oubama "hasn't decided what they want." except one major aim : to embark onto the journey of furthering the power behind the power in USA which will continue to pull all the strings...until you'll choke because of the infamous White House Murder Inc, which I Karl Satanic Roverer helped in every way possible since January 24th 2002...

Mr. Oubama also tripped himself up by sending advisers to Capitol Hill on Dec. 18 to say that he wanted a stimulus bill to cost between $670 billion and $770 billion, but that he would accept $850 billion. This invited Congress to roll him and spend more. Now he may see not only his number shredded but the elements of his package as well.

Mr. Oubama can recover. But he has to avoid losing his footing again by allowing Congress to enact its wish list instead of policies that will help the economy. He seems to be mistaking what may be good ideas for economic stimulants. Ensuring "that within five years, all of America's medical records are computerized" is a fine idea, but the Bush administration already set that goal and developed standards and structure to make it happen. Mr. Oubama will claim credit for it but it won't quickly create jobs.

And then there's Medicaid. Mr. Oubama wants to give about $100 billion to help states expand the program. This will add $100 billion or more a year to the baseline of an entitlement everyone admits is out of control.....exactly like our intimate understanding of the Cabal ...about to embark onto the journey of furthering the power behind the power in USA which will continue to pull all the strings...until you'll choke because of the infamous White House Murder Inc, which I Karl Satanic Roverer helped in every way possible since January 24th 2002...

Many Oubama proposals are spending marketed as stimulus. Much of his "middle-class tax cut" goes to people who have no federal income tax liability. It's really a $500 per worker annual tax credit. Is $20 a week ($40 for couples) in welfare simulative?

Top Oubama adviser David Axelrod's polling and focus groups may suggest that calling new spending "investment" instead of "infrastructure" wins support. But in the end, spending money on the same old junk will do little for the economy.

Mr. Oubama is riding high and setting lofty expectations as well. This is evident in the ever increasing number of jobs he promises to save or create. On Nov. 22, it was 2.5 million. On Dec. 20, it was three million. Then it was 3.675 million. And finally this past weekend it was 4.1 million. Mr. Oubama may be counting on the fact that it will be impossible to verify how many jobs he really "saved." But the claims seem unrealistic anyway.

Take the "green jobs" he promises. There are 6,856 people who work for companies that make solar cells in America and 2,150 people who work for the biggest wind equipment maker. Mr. Oubama says he'll create 459,000 new "green energy" jobs like those. Can he really do that? A lot of people will be keeping score.

Mr. Oubama says 244,000 of his new jobs will be in government. Will these new government employees disappear when the economy recovers? Or is Mr. Oubama pushing the largest expansion of government since LBJ's Great Society?

For all the pride America can have next Tuesday, these issues are real and not going away. The inauguration is a moment of constitutional significance and important symbolism. Team Oubama should enjoy it. As I can attest personally, it won't last long. We have learned today that President Barack Obama's White House counsel Greg Craig has a number of major conflicts of interest in deliberating whether to support the petition by Karl Rove's lawyer, Robert Luskin, to rule on whether Rove continues to enjoy White House executive immunity from being called to testify next week before John Conyers' House Judiciary Committee. Conyers has subpoenaed Rove in his investigation of the Justice Department's political prosecution of former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman and the firing of a number of U.S. Attorneys.

We have learned from informed sources that after former Alabama GOP campaign adviser Dana Jill Simpson came forward to testify about Rove's involvement with the Siegelman prosecution and his dalliances with the U.S. Attorneys for the Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama, Leura Canary and Alice Martin, respectively, in addition to Canary's husband, GOP official Bill Canary, and Alabama Republican Governor Bob Riley, former President Bill Clinton intervened and suggested that Simpson use Greg Craig of the powerhouse DC law firm Williams & Connolly as her pro bono attorney. What Simpson did not realize at the time was that Craig had a personal and professional relationship with Rove, the very person who was the subject of Simpson's offered testimony about the misuse of the Justice Department to prosecute Siegelman. Craig apparently represented Rove in a book deal and was on very friendly terms with the political Svengali who George W. Bush called "Turd Blossom."

We have also learned that Craig had other conflicts-of-interest. Craig represented Alabama Republican Senator Richard Shelby in an ethics matter involving Doss Aviation, a defense contracting firm that the federal judge who tried and sentenced Siegelman, Mark Fuller, had a major financial stake. Shelby is also alleged to have a major financial interest in Doss Aviation. We previously reported that in financial statements filed by Fuller, the address for Doss Aviation was listed as the U.S. Federal Courthouse in Montgomery. We have now learned that the use of the courthouse address for Doss pre-dates Fuller's nomination as a federal judge by a couple of years and the courthouse was and is used by Shelby as a mail drop.

After it was agreed that Craig would not represent Simpson, Bill Clinton worked out a deal to provide her with legal assistance from David Laufman, a DC attorney with ties to the U.S. intelligence community who is known as George H. W. Bush's legal "clean up" man. On September 14, 2007, we reported: "Alabama attorney and former Alabama Republican Party assistant Jill Simpson almost acquired as her Washington, DC counsel a longtime attorney considered a 'clean up' man for the Bush family and its coterie of high-level politicians. Simpson, who swore out an affidavit on May 24, 2007, that stated that Karl Rove; Alabama Republican Governor Bob Riley; Alabama GOP official William 'Bill' Canary; his wife, Leura Canary, the US Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama; and US Attorney for Northern Alabama Alice Martin criminally conspired to indict and imprison former Democratic Governor Don Siegelman, was allegedly offered, by a member of Siegelman's own defense team, the legal services of David Laufman, a Texan who is associated with past 'clean up' operations for the Bush family. We have learned that the case against Siegelman was a political fix from the beginning with the prosecution, members of the defense, and the federal judge all in on a plan to convict and take out of circulation the former Alabama Democratic governor. . . Simpson testified September 14 in closed session about the Siegelman case before a group of legal counsels and staffers representing the House Judiciary Committee. Simpson was questioned under oath by three Democrats and three Republican staffers. Laufman reportedly served in the past in the CIA and 'handled' such matters as the congressional probe of the 1980 October Surprise, in which George H. W. Bush, Bill Casey, Robert Gates, Donald Gregg and others allegedly conspired with Iran to keep U.S. hostages imprisoned until after the November 1980 election, thus tipping the scales against President Jimmy Carter. Laufman reportedly worked for CIA director Casey from 1981 to 1984.

. . . Siegelman's attorney claimed to Simpson that Laufman was recommended to him by President Bill Clinton. Clinton was described as a 'close friend' of Siegelman and Siegelman's indicted and imprisoned 'co-conspirator', former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy. It turns out that Laufman, who is now with the DC law firm of Kelley Drye, not only handled the 1980 October Surprise matters while at the CIA but also was involved in the investigation of Secretary of State James Baker's State Department in the scandal surrounding George H. W. Bush's alleged use of Clinton's passport records as political fodder in the 1992 presidential campaign. Laufman, who was associate independent counsel for the House's October Surprise Task Force investigation panel was hired in 1993 by the special prosecutor in Passportgate: the special prosecutor was longtime GOP hack and former US Attorney for DC, Joseph DiGenova. Laufman was also not an uninterested party to the Siegelman prosecution. Laufman served under Deputy Attorney General Larry Thompson and Attorney General John Ashcroft as chief of staff for the Office of the Deputy Attorney General at Justice. While at Justice, Laufman ensured that suspects arrested by the FBI in the aftermath of 9/11 did not receive prompt access to lawyers or habeas corpus rights. In late 2003, Laufman became the Assistant US Attorney for Eastern Virginia, working for Paul McNulty. In November 2006, Laufman was nominated by George W. Bush to replace the former Inspector General of the Defense Department Joseph Schmitz, who resigned the previous September to take the General Counsel job with the Prince Group, the parent company of Blackwater USA. Schmitz is the son of far right-wing former Republican congressman John Schmitz, Sr. and the brother of convicted pedophile schoolteacher Mary Kay Letourneau. Laufman's nomination for Pentagon Inspector General was pulled after Michigan Democratic Senator Carl Levin put a hold on Laufman's nomination because he did not trust the longtime Bush 'cleaner.' Siegelman's first indictment came on May 27, 2004, while Laufman worked as the Assistant US Attorney for Eastern Virginia. That indictment was dropped after the judge in the trial dismissed the case 'with prejudice.' On June 29, 2006, Siegelman was found guilty in a retrial on various counts. At the time of Siegelman's retrial, Laufman was still with the U.S. Attorney's office for Eastern Virginia. He did not leave until the end of August 2007, a few weeks before his legal services were offered to Simpson. Moreover, according to Simpson's affidavit and testimony on Sept. 14 before House Judiciary Committee investigators, the Alabama GOP was plotting, along with the Justice Department, Siegelman's downfall in 2002, while Laufman worked for Thompson, the Deputy Attorney General.

There is every reason to believe that because Craig never told Simpson about his relationship to Rove that anything Simpson volunteered to Craig may have been passed on to Rove, a huge conflict-of-interest for Obama's current White House chief of staff and most certainly a violation of attorney-client ethics.

Obama promised a transparent administration. It is now very transparent that his White House Counsel Craig is up to his eyeballs in the political misuse of the Justice Department by Bush, Dick Cheney, Rove, and others during the last administration. If Craig rules that Rove is covered by an executive immunity exemption and does not have to testify before Conyers' committee, Obama will have his first major scandal on his hands -- one that is a leftover from the administration he promised "change" from...

Talking about Greg Craig, of course. And the way that Wayne wrote that article up, Bill Clinton was sticking it to Jill Simpson on behalf of BushCo and Rove by recommending a lawyer to her that was a BushCo snake in the grass.

This just BEGS the question: As Wayne has implied, IF "New Democrat" Bill Clinton was somehow in cahoots with George H. W. Bush and his CIA "A-Team" at the same time the "B-Team" neocons at CIA/Mossad were pressuring Clinton with a "sparrow" scandal a la Monica Lewinsky in an attempt to move him more to the side of Israel and away from the traditional "neutral stance" followed in the Carter years, THEN it follows, given Obama's Clinton-recommended and Neo-con appointments who come with the baggage of "dual loyalties," that both the Clinton and Obama Administrations are the cynical result of duplicitous manipulations by the Oligarchs from "The Shadows."

When Bush ran against Gore they couldn't loose because they'd maneuvered to get Lieberman placed on the Democratic ticket and Gore, in actuality, was controlled by the Israel Lobby as well. Plus the committed fraud and Gore mysteriously melted into the woodwork instead of fighting in Florida like the BushCo-Baker team. That was highly suspicious to me at the time. Gore just rolled over. Why? I believe it's because they have Gore set-up on a "raven" scenario for blackmail. Call it "Gaydar," because I have it.

When Bush ran against Kerry they couldn't lose because they controlled the voting machines and the counting program in Nashville. He rolled over without a fight over Ohio, too. Why? Was it because the whole campaign with two opposing candidates from two "opposing" parties was a charade to begin with -- the Shadow Government was solidly in power no matter who won. Cheney effectively appointed himself VP in 2000 and rode herd over The Shadow as a member of "The Committee."

Twenty years ago, Mikhail Gorbachev stood before the UN General Assembly and said, "The compelling necessity of freedom of choice is also clear to us. The failure to recognize this ... is fraught with very dire consequences, consequences for world peace."

At that time, as Soviet general secretary, Gorbachev was the ruler of hundreds of millions of people, both in the Soviet Union and in Central and Eastern Europe - a population that had no freedom of choice. The government over which Gorbachev presided had long made sure that was the case. Freedom of choice would get you killed. That is why his declaration stunned the world. "Freedom of choice is a universal principle to which there should be no exceptions."

To make sure his listeners understood that this was no mere flourish of rhetoric, the Soviet leader went on to announce the dismantling of the military occupation of Eastern Europe, the force that had prevented that freedom. "Today I can inform you of the following: The Soviet Union has made a decision on reducing its armed forces ... by 500,000 persons, and the volume of conventional arms will also be cut considerably. These reductions will be made on a unilateral basis."

Six tank divisions would be promptly withdrawn from East Germany, Czechoslovakia and Hungary, he said, and the rest of the Soviet military presence would be reconfigured as purely defensive. Not only would the Soviet gun be removed from Warsaw Pact nations, it would no longer be pointed at the rest of Europe.

All of this, Gorbachev said, was "aimed at the demilitarization of international relations," the changing of the world economy "from an economy of armament to an economy of disarmament," and "the movement toward a nuclear-free and nonviolent world." He saluted Ronald Reagan, whose term was just ending, and with whom he had already agreed in principle to abolish nuclear weapons. He hoped to continue, and promised that the "newly elected President George Bush will find in us a partner ... It seems to us we have the preconditions for making 1989 the decisive year."

Gorbachev was correct about that - from his side. In 1989, because of that UN speech, the satellite nations decisively claimed their freedom. The Soviet Union itself began to dissolve, a process that climaxed in December 1991, when the red flag was lowered from the Kremlin, and when, with Gorbachev's resignation, the U.S.S.R. ceased to exist. But from the side of the United States, 1989 had been decisive in an opposite way. Only weeks after the Berlin Wall was peacefully breached by Gorbachev - licensed dancers instead of tanks - the new American president ordered tens of thousands of U.S. troops to invade Panama in Operation Just Cause. That wholly unjustified action amounted to America's answer to Gorbachev, a declaration that the United States was a long way from the "demilitarization of international relations." Other unnecessary American wars would follow, and so would Washington's refusal to dismantle its Cold War military economy.

The "decisive year" for which Gorbachev called two decades ago may now be here - for America's side. Americans stand today, as the last Soviet dictator put it then, "on the threshold of a year from which all of us expect so much. One would like to believe that our joint efforts to put an end to the era of wars, confrontation and regional conflicts, aggression against nature, the terror of hunger and poverty, as well as political terrorism, will be comparable with our hopes."

Is it too much to expect Barack Obama to change history? Make peace? Transform an economic system? Rescue the earth? Build a political program around the truth? Restore a great nation's decency? Are we kidding ourselves to place such hopes in him?

As we begin this decisive new year, it will do Americans well to recall that just such a transformation took place once before, even if we Americans declined to respond with transformation of our own. By the grace of God, it is not too late to match the greatness with which Gorbachev acted 20 years ago, an overdue acceptance of his historic invitation. "This is our common goal," he concluded, "and it is only by acting together that we may attain it. Thank you."
